Hello! My name is Maggie Marusin, and I’m currently a junior at CU Boulder studying art practices and strategic communication. I love exploring various mediums of art, but I’m especially interested in digital forms of art, including photography, film, and graphic design. My interest in digital art primarily began when I was in 7th grade. At the time, I loved watching bullet journaling and art videos on YouTube. Watching these videos inspired me to make my own YouTube videos and channel, where I took videos of myself working with different mediums. Creativity has always been the driving point of all of my different hobbies and interests, and through creating a YouTube channel, I started to love working with digital forms of art. In my art, I really enjoy exploring concepts of human life and mundane human activity, as well as the place of humans within nature. I also enjoy capturing nature's beauty through photography and film, and I often use landscapes with contrasting colors and striking views to amplify the beauty of the natural world. I enjoy studying art as it allows me to connect with my emotions and the world around me in a very creative and fun way. Art additionally allows me to express myself and share my personal thoughts and feelings. Through my work, I hope to evoke a sense of awe for the natural world and bring to light the beauty of human connection with nature and life in general.
