Webventure Brainstorm Blog

For the choose your own webventure project I want to use a semi narrative format that includes the overall theme of skiing. The person navigating the webventure will have varying choices that guide them to an end result of how their ski day turns out. The webventure will begin with the choice of what ski resort (in Colorado) the participant will go to. It will then ask what snacks the participant will have on the car ride there. Then it will ask what color run the participant will go on (green, blue or black). From there varying questions such as what way do you want to go, or what type of run (moguls, tree runs, normal runs). Other questions might include snacks/drinks the participant consumes on the chairlift, whether they want to take a lunch break, if they want to go on a separate route from their group etc. Eventually all of the different options will lead the participant to varying outcomes which could include a successful ski day, falling off a chairlift, getting stuck in a tree well, being suffocated by an avalanche, getting their pass taken away, making a friend on the chairlift etc. I will also include hand drawn elements (created in illustrator), as well as images and gifs to create a more visually appealing navigation of the webventure. The entire point of this webventure is to create a fun and enjoyable experience that includes average choices and activities that one would make/engage in while skiing.
