My main goal for this project is to make some very visually interesting glitches in my images. I plan on doing this by starting with base images that are very colorful or that have a lot of texture in them, or both. From there, I want to use multiple glitch methods and software to see if mixing methods together can make my glitches more visually interesting. The methods that I have previously found to curate the coolest glitches have been playing with sound effects in Audacity. I also found that editing the code of the images through messing around with their text can make for some very cool visuals. I just want to create something very fun and lively, but also not too crazy to the point where you can't make out the base image at all. I also want to center all the base images around a common theme of water. When testing out the different glitch methods, I found a random image of a wave that made the most amazing glitches. I’ll attach to this blog post one of the glitches from that wave photo that I curated. I want to test out other water imagery in this project to see if the glitches will respond to and pick up the textures of varying water movements in a similar way. Water movements that I think would make for a great glitch would be a waterfall, the curve of a wave, waves crashing on sand, and a moving river.
